Just Pitch In

Privacy policy

Last updated: November 2025

The short version: we collect the minimum needed to run sign-up sheets, we don't sell data, we don't run ad trackers, and guest emails go only to the organizer who asked for them.

What we collect

  • Organizer accounts — your email address and display name (optional). Sign-in is by email link; we never store a password.
  • Sheet content — event titles, dates, locations, descriptions, slot definitions, and the names and notes guests enter when signing up.
  • Guest emails (optional) — only if a guest wants a day-before reminder. Guests can sign up without one.
  • Technical data — your IP address is logged temporarily for rate limiting and abuse prevention (auto-deleted within a few days; persistent only for confirmed abusers we block).

Cookies & local storage

  • Session cookie — keeps organizers signed in (Supabase Auth).
  • Event password cookie — if a sheet is password-protected, an httpOnly cookie remembers your entry for 30 days.
  • Browser storage — a sign-up counter used only to show an occasional tip prompt. It never leaves your browser.

No advertising, analytics, or cross-site tracking cookies.

Who can see what

  • Anyone with the event link sees the sheet's title, details, slots, and the public names people signed up with (guests can appear as "Anonymous").
  • The organizer additionally sees guests' real names and email addresses — needed to run the event.
  • Site admins can view aggregate statistics (counts, dates) to monitor the service — not read private sign-up details for content review unless investigating abuse.

Third-party services

  • Supabase — hosts the database and authentication.
  • Stripe — processes optional tips. We never see or store card numbers.
  • Resend — delivers sign-in and reminder emails.
  • Amazon — supply links open Amazon search results. Once you click through, Amazon's own privacy policy applies; purchases may earn us a commission.

What we never do

  • Sell, rent, or share personal data with marketers.
  • Run advertising or behavioral tracking.
  • Email guests for anything except the reminder they opted into.

Deleting your data

Organizers can delete a whole sheet (which removes its slots and sign-ups permanently) from the manage page. Guests can cancel their own sign-up from the link on their confirmation page. To delete your organizer account and everything attached to it, email us at the address below.
